Removal of adhesive?
In my bedroom I have wooden floor effect planks you know the ones with the sticky stuff on the back, the problem is that I know want to remove them but the the adesive is so difficult to remove from the floor I tried white spirit which sort of melts its ruining the floor also when you pull them up half the plank is stuck and I have to scrape it off anyone have any ideas.

dead easy...do you have an electric heat gun (like a hair dryer but a hell of alot hotter) if you dont have one you can buy them for a round £10,,,heat the planks till they go soft then they should pull up easy ( use a scraper to lift them), when you have all the planks up sprinkle flour yes flour ( this will kill the adhesive) all over the floor/adhesive then brush the flour in to the glue using a sweeping brush & leave the flour on the floor for a couple of hours ,,,then brush/hoover the exess flour from the floor ..job done,
