How do I get adhesive off of fake eyelashes???

I have tiny eyelashes. I am able to put the fake ones on and they actually look ok. But, I am now trying to get the adhesive glue off the eyelashes without trashing the lashes for more than one use. The supply shop said to just "pull off" the glue. I tried this and ruined two pair so far. Any help with this would be great! I would try baby oil, but then I don't know if the adhesive will stay on the next time.

Hi, Being a crossdresser / transvestite, I use FAKE (not fake) eyelashes just about everyday.. The supply shop[ is correct - you just "peel off" the adhesive, but that doesn't mean TEAR it off....!!! Like many things in life - T.L.C. has to come into focus.
Now if you only wear false lashes every so often, you don't really need to peel off the adhesive each and every time, unless you - like myself - use a lot of eyeliner, and then there is build up - so each usage requires "maintenance".
Another suggestion is to get TWO pair of lashes at least... Once you've pealed off the adhesive from the most recent used pair, you can (believe it or not) soak therm in luke warm water, with a teeny bit of liquid detergent. Let them soak for about an hour - give or take, and the extra residue should just come off easily with some "coaxing"..And rinse.
And to keep the "curved" shape of them, you can place them around a larger rounded tube like device and encase them with a soft towel - cloth etc and let them dry for a while, and they'll be as good as new...
And if you don't have the time to spare waiting for these to dry - hence the 2nd pair as mentioned above...
