Chlor*Rid Announces Soluble Salt Remover is 100% “Green”
ALL ORGANIC, NON-HAZARDOUS & BIODEGRADABLE
CHLOR*RID® is True Salt Remover – Not Just Corrosion Inhibitor like Other Companies
CHLOR*RID International, Inc., the world’s leading source of products for soluble salt testing and soluble salt removal, announced today that its CHLOR*RID salt remover is 100% “Green,” organic, non-hazardous, and biodegradable. CHLOR*RID is used by state highways, bridges, railroads, aircraft, ships, dams, and tanks to protect and remove dangerous salt contamination and corrosion in crucial U.S. infrastructure systems. CHLOR*RID employs unique patented organic bonding chemistry to fully remove chlorides, sulfates and other soluble salts, making America’s key bridges, ships, and machinery safer for all.
U.S. Spends $300 Billion Dollars a Year on Dangerous Corrosion
In the last few years, the coating industry and corrosion engineers have become aware of the damage and cost of salt corrosion, resulting in 300 billion dollars spent each year in the U.S.– wasted money easily avoided by using CHLOR*RID to remove soluble salts on surfaces prior to applying protective coatings. Soluble salts (like chlorides, sulfates and nitrates) are found on surfaces everywhere - in marine environments or as residue left by chemical compounds, such as de-icing salts or industrial emissions. Soluble salts pull moisture from the air, causing protective coatings to fail. Salts can also cause degradation of the structure, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals, concrete, foam, plastics and others. Left unchecked, the salt contamination corrodes into deep pockets in the substrate, making decontamination more urgent and challenging.
100% Biodegradable -- Easiest, Safest & Most Economical Way to Remove Salts
CHLOR*RID is the safest and most economical method available on the market for removing dangerous soluble salts. Extremely easy to use, just add water to CHLOR*RID and apply to the contaminated surface prior to applying coatings. The organic chemicals in the patented CHLOR*EXTRACT solution bond with chloride and sulfate ions to quickly remove them from surfaces, so a protective coating can then be applied free of rust and contamination. 100% biodegradeable, CHLOR*RID is also nonflammable and contains no volatile organic compounds (VOC).
CHLOR*RID is True Salt Remover – Not Just Corrosion Inhibitor Like Other Companies
Unlike other companies, CHLOR*RID is a true salt remover and not a corrosion inhibitor. True salt removers use an acidic product to remove salts from a steel surface. Other companies claiming to be salt removers are only corrosion inhibitors that use alkaline products, which cause a hydroxide residue layer that masks salts so they do not show up in normal testing, and are never actually removed. CHLOR*RID safely protects your investment from costly and hazardous protective coating failures and will not interfere with the adhesion of protective coatings.
CHLOR*RID IS USED IN:
- Bridge Structures
- Ships
- Mining Facilities
- Storage Tanks
- Public Utilities
- Electronics
- Offshore Drilling Rigs
- Marine Structures
- Process Equipment
- Pulp and Paper Mills
- Power Generation Plants
- Natural Gas Facilities

ahhesive removal from concrete?
the tile was very old like 50 or 60 years so i am to assume the adhesive is just as old.
Is the glue black and tar like? If so it may contain asbestos. Why are you taking it up? It may be easier and safer to cover with a skim coat. For the most part you need to scrape up the adhesive with a 4" sharp blade scraper To help more I need to know why you need to remove and whats going on top.

Chickasaw Removal $19.18 "A uniquely detailed account of the removal of the Chickasaw Nation from their original homelands to Indian Territory" In the early nineteenth century, the Chickasaw Indians were a beleaguered people. Anglo-American settlers were streaming illegally into their homelands east of the Mississippi River. Then, in 1830, the Indian Removal Act forced the Chickasaw Nation, along with other eastern tribes, to remove to Indian Territory, in present-day Oklahoma. This book provides the most detailed account to date of the Chickasaw removal, from their harrowing journey west to their first difficult years in an unfamiliar land. The Chickasaw removal began in 1837, a few years after the departures of the Choctaws and Creeks. In their gripping account of the Chickasaws' forced trek, authors Amanda L. Paige, Fuller L. Bumpers, and Daniel F. Littlefield, Jr., describe the array of characters the Chickasaws came across, including missionaries, whiskey peddlers, profiteering government agents, and contractors, some of whom purchased and distributed rations they knew would go rancid before the removing parties passed by their way stations. Although several histories have spotlighted the politics and events of the Removal Era, this book is a unique illumination of the "whole business" of removal, including details of the places where the Chickasaws camped, bought supplies, sought medical attention, and buried their dead. The story continues into Indian Territory, where the Chickasaws faced a new set of obstacles but eventually persevered to become the strong and successful nation they are today. |

Hair Removal $90.81 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Hair removal describes any method of removing hair, especially from the human body. Depilation affects the part of the hair above the surface of the skin. The most common form of depilation is shaving. Another popular option is the use of chemical depilatories, which work by breaking the disulfide bonds that link the protein chains that give hair its strength, making the hair disintegrate. Epilation is removal of the entire hair, including the part below the skin, and is therefore longerlasting. Methods include waxing, sugaring, epilation devices, lasers, threading, intense pulsed light or electrology. Hair is also sometimes removed by plucking with tweezers. Snow Removal $70.1 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Snow removal is the job of removing snow after a snowfall to make travel easier and safer. This is done by both individual households and by governments and institutions. In places with light snow, brooms or other light instruments can be used to brush off snow from walks and other surfaces. In colder regions with more precipitation, the main tools of the private snow clearer are the snow shovel, a large lightweight shovel used to push snow and lift it, and the snow scoop, a large and deep hopperlike implement fitted with a wide handle and designed to scoop up a load of snow and slide it on any slippery surface to another location without lifting. Shoveling entails a considerable amount of physical effort and can be a strain on the back and the heart. Each year many senior citizens and middle aged persons die from heart attacks while shoveling snow. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Timpledon, Miriam T./ Marseken, Susan F. Prestressed Concrete $98.77 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles Prestressed concrete is a method for overcoming concretes natural weakness in tension. It can be used to produce beams, floors or bridges with a longer span than is practical with ordinary reinforced concrete. Prestressing tendons (generally of high tensile steel cable or rods) are used to provide a clamping load which produces a compressive stress that offsets the tensile stress that the concrete compression member would otherwise experience due to a bending load. Traditional reinforced concrete is based on the use of steel reinforcement bars, rebars, inside poured concrete. Prestressing can be accomplished in three ways: pretensioned concrete, and bonded or unbonded posttensioned concrete. Pretensioned concrete is cast around already tensioned tendons. This method produces a good bond between the tendon and concrete, which both protects the tendon from corrosion and allows for direct transfer of tension. Author: Surhone, Lambert M./ Tennoe, Mariam T./ Henssonow, Susan F. Binding Type: Paperback Number of Pages: 144 Publication Date: 2010/10/01 Language: English Dimensions: 6.00 x 9.02 x 0.34 inches |

Sustainability of Concrete $200 Production of Portland cement is responsible for about seven percent of the world's greenhouse gas emissions. The pressure to make the production of concrete more sustainable, or "greener", is considerable and increasing. This requires a wholesale shift in processes, materials and methods in the concrete industry. Pure Portland cement will need to be replaced by more complex binary, tertiary or even quaternary binders, including other types of cementitious materials. We can expect an increasing use of high performance concrete, primarily because of its high sustainability and durability. Much more attention will have to be paid to the proper curing of the concrete if we want to improve its life expectancy. Presenting the latest advances in the science of concrete this book focuses particularly on sustainability, durability, and economy. It explores the potential for increased sustainability in concrete from the initial mixing right through to its behaviour in complex structures exposed to different types of loads and aggressive environments. |

Concrete Countertops $26.29 In 1985, California architect Fu-Tung Cheng, a recipient of the Stellar Award from the American Society of Interior Designers, was given full creative control but only a modest budget to renovate a professors home. Instead of using a conventional grouted plywood base for the kitchen sink and countertop, he opted for a concrete one. It turned out beautiful as well as functional. Since then, he has become internationally renowned for his custom-formed concrete designs finished to resemble marble, glass, or granite. This book illustrates every step of the process from designing, forming, mixing, and pouring to coloring, troweling, in-laying, curing, and finishing. |

Indian Removal ACT $82.85 High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Indian Removal Act, part of a United States government policy known as Indian removal, was signed into law by President Andrew Jackson on May 26, 1830. President Andrew Jackson called for an Indian Removal Act in his 1829 State of the Union message. The Removal Act was strongly supported in the South, where states were eager to gain access to lands inhabited by the Five Civilized Tribes. In particular, Georgia, the largest state at that time, was involved in a contentious jurisdictional dispute with the Cherokee nation. President Jackson hoped removal would resolve the Georgia crisis. The Indian Removal Act was also very controversial. While Native American removal was, in theory, supposed to be voluntary, in practice great pressure was put on Native American leaders to sign removal treaties. Most observers, whether they were in favor of the Indian removal policy or not, realized that the passage of the act meant the inevitable removal of most Indians from the states. Concrete Regionalism $3.94 Concrete Regionalism presents the work of four of today's most lauded and accomplished international architects, each of whom has combined vernacular building with a carefully conceived use of concrete. These buildings sensitively respond to their environments, while functioning as monumental symbols that transcend their immediate surroundings. The approaches of Antoine Predock (Albuquerque), Tadao Ando (Osaka), Riccardo Legorreta (Mexico City), and Wiel Arets (The Netherlands) have allowed them to forge an architectonic language that is both solid and meaningful. From Predock's sensitive interpretations of America's Southwest desert to Ando's graceful intervention into natural and urban contexts, from Legorreta's bold representations of Mexico's rich pre-Columbian heritage to Arets's cool "second-modernist" forms, each architect's highly individual vision has created unique buildings for people and their environments. In one sense the result of local conditions, the buildings in Concrete Regionalism also seem to exist out of time and place, constant reminders that there persists in architecture a search for enduring form. |

The Removal of Nitrogen Compounds from Wastewater $206 This volume gives an overview of the wide spectrum of nitrogen removal processes available today. Part A gives a brief outline of nitrogen pollution sources, the global nitrogen cycle and the treatment methods; part B presents details of all biological methods for nitrogen removal; and part C describes the physico-chemical nitrogen removal methods. Design examples relating to parts B and C are given in appendices. Design equations are given in the text, but more emphasis has been placed on the profound understanding of the biological and chemical processes and the basic factors that influence these. Parameters and regression equations for a quantitive description of these factors and their influence on the key processes are presented in several tables. This feature makes the volume a very useful handbook; it will be of great value to those environmentalists who require a record of the available nitrogen removal methods from both biological and chemical viewpoints. |

It is sometimes referred to as visual poetry, a term that has evolved to have distinct meaning of its own, but which shares the distinction of being poetry in which the visual elements are as important as the text. The term was coined in the 1950s. In 1956 an international exhibition of concrete poetry was shown in S o Paulo, Brazil, by the group Noigandres (Augusto and Haroldo de Campos, D cio Pignatari and Ronaldo Azeredo) with the poets Ferreira Gullar and Wlademir Dias Pino. Two years later, a Brazilian concrete poetry manifesto was published. One of the earliest Brazilian pioneers, Augusto de Campos, has assembled a Web site of old and new work, including the manifesto. Concrete Toronto: A Guidebook to Concrete Architecture from the Fifties to the Seventies $24.84 In the sixties, architecture fell in love with concrete. Architecture has since shifted its fondness to glass and steel, and concrete buildings have fallen out of favor and into disrepair. But they represent an exciting era of faith in architecture and technical innovation that has yet to be documented. "Concrete Toronto" acts as a guidebook to the city's extensive concrete heritage. Architects, journalists, professors, concrete experts, and even the original architects use a wealth of new and archival photos, drawings, interviews, articles, and case studies to celebrate Toronto's concrete past. |
