Lip Burn...HELP?! How do I heal it?

I was making something where you glue a straw to a balloon. I used hot glue and then stupidly blew on the balloon. Now I have a medium sized red dot on my lip. I didn't put cold water on it but I put vasoline on and now it doesn't hurt but I still have the dot. Will it scar? If it will or can how can I provent it?
I received the burn yesterday at about 12:45

if the burn is still fresh, then run cool (not cold) running water on it... it's probably easiest to fill a cup or bowl with cool water and 'soak' your lip in it. keep doing this throughout the day to stop the burning process.

DON'T apply anything to it... you don't want to irritate or worsen the severity of the burn! in a couple of days, then apply some PawPaw ointment or something light on the lip.

You need a couple weeks or so, for the dot to dissapear... and it shouldn't scar.
