How do you remove air bubbles from a plastic table?
My plastic card table has air bubbles that make the surface bumpy! I noticed this starting to happen as I put warm things on the table (like, warm plates to eat dinner). I think the heat made the plastic expand and the glue to warm up and lose its stickiness. At first, I was able to sort of heat up the bubble and press down and it would stick again. However, at this point, the bubble has gotten HUGE and won't even go flat. Any suggestions as to how to remove these bubbles?
1. Drill a small hole through the underside of the table
2. Inject glue through the hole into the bubble
3. Press a rag or paper towel, or your finger for that matter, to the hole to prevent glue from escapting while you press the bubble back and forth to spread the glue to the edges of the bubble
4. Remove the rag and press firmly on the bubble with something heavy and flat, like a board with bricks on it, or a book with a heavy weight on it. This will allow excess glue to escape while pressing the newly glued surface to the table top.
5. Allow time for the glue to dry.
6. Start using coasters or serving trays for hot items so you don't have to go through this again.
