Help! My car's auxiliary cable broke off in the jack and now it's stuck! What can I do?

I had my iPod connected to the car through it's AUX port, which is mounted between the seats, next to the E-brake. But the end snapped and now I'm left with half the plug stuck in the port. I need to get it out to play my iPod again. My girlfriend said to put superglue on the end of a string and then pull it out, but this seems like a BAD idea. I don't want to interfere with any of the connectors or glue over them. Anyone know how to get it out? or how much it costs to have a mechanic do it? PLEASE HELP!
