How do I get carpet glue off wood floors?
My husband and I ripped up the carpet in our bedroom and have beautiful hardwood floors underneath. One problem is that there are swirls of carpet glue on it. It's not that bad and most of it can be covered up, but I'd rather have it all cleaned off. What can I use? And we're not going to sand our floors so that's out of the question. Thank you!
Other than sanding there is no way to do this. Water WILL NOT work since carpet glue is a petroleum based product and chemicals , mineral spirits may work but it is smelly and a terrible gooey mess, guaranteed.GL
