here i am, sitting here, minding my own business. my mom and her boyfriend are here and they are talking about meat. you know, they think it's funny. but it's so trite, right? he tried to chastise me for buying elmer's glue, which is supposedly vegan. he thought it was made out of latex. oh boy. i'm wearing a secret society of vegans shirt, and he asked me, "uhh, why do you want to be secret?" poor little guy.

I can understand what you are going through. Wasn’t exactly a joke fest but when I was a teenager my brothers thought it would be funny to put pepperoni under the cheese in my pizza. I took one bite and it tasted so horrible I spit it out right then and there, all the while my brothers are giggling uncontrollably. I look down and there’s a huge pepperoni hanging peaking out from under the cheese. I was so upset, and they just kept laughing, even my mom joined in, told me, “if I were normal it wouldn’t be a problem”. Needless to say my family has never been real supportive of my choice to be a vegetarian; I don’t imagine they will be too thrilled when I decide to tell them I am working on becoming vegan now.
