Anyway to clean up a nasty room?
I live in an apartment.
The walls, look dirty.
We cant paint.
And there's adhesive stuck to the wall.
And holes from the nails stuck into the wall.
Theres also spots on the wall, where it looks like someone tore paper and glued it on the wall. (it was adhesive)
You know the foam, peices that you stick onto the back of certain things?
How do I get rid of the dirtiness, and the adhesive, without painting?
Also, is there anyway to cover up, or get rid of the chipping at the bottom of the door?
First tackle adhesive. You can buy some stuff called Oops! that will remove most adhesive residue. You rub it on, let it sit a minute, and then rub or peel the gunk away.
Then you can wash your walls. Most wall paint can be cleaned with a mild soap solution. Start at the top and work your way down.
As your landlord for help filling in the nail holes, and ask if it's ok just to touch up any remaining spots. (Most landlords are ok with that, esp if you ask first. He might even give you the paint, if he's got any in the building basement.)
