Types of Table Protector

It is a type of material aimed to protect table top from damage. For this reason, makers has used various protective material as a table top protector. There are many type, some are permanent and some temporary. most common temporary table protector are table cloth made from various material, designs and sizes.

Table cloth is the most common type of all the table protector. It is made from material ranged from cotton with various color and pvc material. Cotton material are relatively cheap these days and can be made for various thickness, color, patterns. For major usage like at dinner reception, seminars etc, white and red is a common color.

The disadvantage of cotton table cloth is easily stain. However, they normally can be clean at the laundry.

With the modern technology today, manufacturer are using the latest material science, to made PVC sheet as a table cloth. PVC is easy to maintained and relatively cheap. There are disposal type for dinner receptions

For some application PVC sheet is also used as a permanent table cloth. The design is better and modern. It also serve as a decorative table top. Due to its design and quality, the cost is slightly higher but it is cheaper for long run.

Besides using PVC, some uses Vinyl sheet glue on the table top surface as a permanent feature. Vinyl is a better material which can take higher heat. It can withstand light scratches and it is durable. However, the application of vinyl on the table top is not easy and must be done by skillful people. For this reason, it is normally come along with the design of the table.

Glass Panel is another material used for office office table top. It can within relatively heavy scratches, heat and easy to maintain. The application of is to place the cut to size glass panel on top of the table or pedestal.

In some specific application, stainless steel sheet is used as a table protector. This application is suitable for heavy usage and subjected to oil, water and other liquid. YOu can find this type of application for kitchen benches and even work stations in factories. The cost is high but it is permanent one time cost. Besides such application, you can find such table protector in Chinese temples and home where prayer equipment are placed on top. This application can withstand high heat.

How can I remove super Glue from my glasses?

I was trying to fix my brothers glasses and I got quite a bit of glue on them. Is there anything I can do? I also got it on my oak table...Please help!!!

Whoa...first you have to know what material the lenses are made of. If it's glass or regular plastic, you can use straight acetone to remove the glue, but if it's polycarbonate or hi-index plastic, soak the lenses in alcohol for at least 5 minutes.

Acetone will crack poly and hi-index lenses.

If you got the glasses at one of the chain stores, such as Lenscrafters, Eyemasters, Sears, it almost is a guarantee it is polycarbonate.

If unsure, take the glasses to a reputable optician to remove the glue.

Also, as you have found out, don't ever use glue on eyewear. Certain frame materials won't hold at all with superglue.
