@@@im installing some solid oak flooring whats the best glue to use to join the flooring@@@?

hi all thanks for looking i just wanted to know what the experts use...as my last builder did my last house and the floor started to get gaps were the glue could hold the floor together

Hardwood flooring should not be glued at all.Its attached to the subfloor by a method called blind nailing.There are specialty nails(more like big staples) and a special hammer device for driving them into the groove and out of sight.Gaps are going to appear over time Its almost inevitable bc wood expands and shrinks with changes in humidity in the atmosphere.However if the floor is installed correctly the gaps will be minimal and take a long time to appear.
