Elastin Collagen Creams Exposed. What Do They Really Do?

Everyone knows that as you age your skin ages and tends to show it. Wrinkles develop, lines and crows feet around the eyes and mouth seem to come from nowhere, and suddenly our faces seem to look like a road map. Aging collagen is part of the problem, and increasing collagen stocks in your skin is part of the solution.

There are two extremely important substances in your skin. Collagen and elastin. I'm sure you've heard of both, as both have been known to skin care science for a quite some time.

Collagen and elastin are both important for skin health, and the look of your skin, and both decrease with aging. Collagen and elastin, therefore, should be supplemented, or increased as you age, increasing collagen and elastin will have a direct effect on your skin health, and on how fast aging impacts the looks and health of your facial skin.

What does collagen do?

Collagen is, in effect, the glue that holds us together, and it's no coincidence that in ancient times they used to boil animal hooves and sinews to make glue. It is a protein that is found right throughout the body, and is made up of strands that are strong, elastic and are responsible for the strength and elasticity of your skin.

Aging collagen equals aging skin, so increasing collagen results in improved skin health, better skin elasticity, and less wrinkles because your skin is better able to support itself and spring back into place. This in turn leads to less sagging and lines as well.

There are other factors that reduce collagen as well as aging. Collagen is reduced by UV exposure, like sun tanning, and smoking as well. And free radicals can also destroy collagen too. So as you can see your skin collagen is under attack almost from the day you were born.

For this reason increasing collagen is one of the primary goals of most skincare products. Problem is, most skincare products go about the business of increasing collagen the wrong way. They do it by adding collagen to the product, which you then apply to your skin.

Where's the problem with that? Well collagen molecules are too large to enter into the skin, and applied topically to the skin it remains on the surface, and doesn't enter the skin. It's way more effective to stimulate the skin to produce more of it's own collagen than it is to rub it onto the surface.

i also have a real question lol

my horse is gonna have to go into the farrier soon. but only one of her back hooves need to be clipped all the others just need to be filed... but some of my uncles horses hooves are cracked. we were gonna buy this glue stuff we saw at the store and put it on them. does anyone know if it works well? and if you can put it on them in the winter. or is it just better to buy that hoof feed?
