Is there a way to make Paper Mache glue with out flour?

I am babysitting and need to make glue for our project, but all the recipies i looked up use flour... any ideas?

when i was in art class i did a paper mache. the glue is used was wallpaper glue. maybe that will be a little dangerous for younger children if they tend to eat it,but for older children it will be great. you can buy the glue at almost any store. i bought mine at wal-mart. the glue comes in a power and all you have to do is follow the directions on the box to how much water to add. after i made the glue i added a few drops of peppermint extract to give the glue a nice smell. this made the art project smell really good which was a plus. i recommend it to you.
