Question about supplies for scrapbook?

I'm trying to make a scrapbook for my mom for her birthday. I have never really made one before, so I'm kind of new to all the different materials out there. I bought some Vellum paper that has really cute phrases and sayings etc on it. But I don't know how to attatch it to the pages. Do I use glue? or tape? thanks in advance for your help...

Vellum is a tricky one to work with.

First off, you cut out the saying that you want. You can attach is different ways.
-A glue stick doesn't work well on vellum. So, if you do not want the double-sided tape, tape runner or photo square to show, you put it in a place that you will cover up later with some embellishment.
-If you won't be covering it up, you can buy special adhesive just for vellum. You can get it at the craft store or scrapbook store. It's nearly invisible but you can still see it slightly.
-If you don't want it to show at all, you can attach it using brads or eyelets. The eyelets get set by making a hole where you want the eyelet, then hammering the back flat so it sandwiches all the layers of paper in between the front and back of the eyelet. The brad gets set by making a small hole and pushing the brad through and then folding the stem open to hold it in place. (The eyelet setter and hole maker come in a kit if you don't already have it. You can use the hole maker for the brads too.)
-The last thing you can do it to turn the vellum into a sticker using a Xyron machine. Depending on how fancy you want to go you can use many of the machine. Here are the basic ones: http://www.xyron.com/enUS/Categories/create-a-sticker_.html
You feed the paper into it, pull it through on the other end and it has sticky on the back and it's now a sticker! (The adhesive doesn't show.)
