Target Transfers announce the third in a series of articles they are publishing, which outline some of the many different heat transfer systems offered by the Company, to help potential users understand the various options that are open to them.

Flock Heat Transfers are a luxurious velvet-like pile heat transfer, which can be produced in both single and multi-colour formats. This enables the use of bold, strong colours on dark fabrics. Flock heat transfers are extremely versatile, and are geared for the more prestigious top end of the market, suitable for fashion, sportswear, leisure wear and branding. The heat transfers are fully ironable, and can be washed up to 40°C.

Metallic Foil Heat Transfers have a high gloss metallic finish, which is very popular within the fashion industry and also for leisurewear. The foil material is available in a variety of colours, and in fact, different coloured foils can be combined to the same adhesive transfer, in various combinations, to create stunning and unique effects.

Matt & Gloss Plastisol Heat Transfers. This is very popular within the High Street retailer and fashion house markets. Extremely versatile as it can be combined with four colour screen, litho print, flat colour or Glow in the Dark on the same heat transfer to give a design of premium quality and appearance. It is available in both matt and high gloss for that extra shine. The heat transfers are suitable for both dark and light fabrics.

what chemicals and methods would I use to remove a cpu heatsink in a laptop?

I am replacing the motherboard in my sister's IBM thinkpad T42. The manufacturer used a combination heat transfer and adhesive compound
between the Heat Sink and the Cpu and video chipset. How do I loosen this stuff to prevent damage when I unscrew the heat sink from its chassis mounts? There's a Fry's electronics that sells all manner of chemicals but I'm not sure what I can use that won't damage the ICs.

Heat the compound with a hair dryer, then coat a razor blade with rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover and hack at the gunk as you're pulling off/unscrewing the heatsink.
