It also gives the designer an idea on what materials to purchase to make the design a reality. A few common materials may include mini nose pliers, wire cutters, glue gun, silver plated wire, comb, a tiara headband as well as beads made from crystal clear glass. Besides beads, alternatives materials may include pearls or even Swarovski crystals, depending on the style and the budget. These materials can be easily found in any decent craft store.

With a 24 gauge silver plated wire, cut strips measuring five to seven inches each. Place the bead or pearl into the wire strip. Close the strip by folding the wire in half and twisting the ends together. Add more beads or pearls to the wire strip, changing the distance between the beads depending on the design. When the strip is finished, attach it to the headband by twisting the end. Do the steps over with the next strips until you have finished your design. In order for the tiara to stay on the bride's hair and not fall off, attach hair combs to the edges of the headband in a downwards direction. Add more pearls, crystals or beads when needed.

How repairable is a soapstone sculpture?

I work for a moving and storage company and recently one of our packers had an accident with a whale tail soapstone sculpture. When she laid it on the paper the tip of one of the tails broke off. Is soapstone really that breakable? Inside was not all crystal blue like the rest of it, one part was brown and looked as though it was glued together before. Anyhow, these people are telling me that it is not repairable and will continue to deteriorate because of the damage. Can anybody give me any insight?
