What printer is great for printing large amounts of labels?

I print out good amount of labels, dozens of them a day. I had a ink jet, but the cost of ink is prohibitive. I got a consumer Laserjet, but the paper path keeps getting gummed up and I'm constantly cleaning parts in it. I'm ready to invest in good printer. Would a heavy duty Laser printer handle labels well, or will I have trouble with label adhesive on any printer I use?

If you were to get a laser printer, there are printers that you can open the back door and send the labels out the back. Most laser printers should work, I think you need to make sure that your labels that are made for laser printers. Then I think you should be OK and you should not have trouble.
