apparently the flea produces a glue to fix it to the hair. things tried are conditioner and nit comb, shampoo that removes gel, mousse and hair spray, lots of brushing, even oil and sugar hoping to scrape the hair.

When I worked with kids, nits were a nightmare. The condtioner thing always worked with me,. but if it helps I found I had to add about three times the normal amount so your hair is completely smothered in it. Then I spent about two hours with the comb. If course I had very long and thick hair at the time, but it was the only thing that worked for me.
