Do you have an idea how to make a boom box for my trunk.?
I have a speaker and the wood. 3/4 plywood. 15w 30L 16 h. the foam that I plan to use is the one that people use in between matress about 3 inches wide. I was planning to glue this to the back and sides of the box.

Your best bet, go to a stero store, even best buy or something along those lines and ask a heck of a lot of questions about the highest quality boxes.

what is the best kind of box for your car and equipment already owned
Then do your homework, some lining will kill the sound and make it sound god awful
Some will just make it rattle like crazy, second check on mountings and things of that nature because if you don't your stero will suck and you can actually damage your speaker.
Personally I don't think the lining you want to use will work that well but a good test wire up the speaker and wrap it in the stuff and see what happens.
