Help with adhesives and resins for a composite?

I'm doing a project for one of my A2 subjects at school and it involves a composite matrix of fabrics and PVA wood glue. Now the PVA (diluted) takes to long to cure without heat and even then, with heat from a radiator the tiny sample takes approximately one day to do so.
I've done some research into this matter but I'm not really getting anywhere!
The theme of my project is to do with the environment. I'm planning on building a chair so the resin or adhesive needs to be strong and flexible (not brittle like Plaster of paris or concrete).

Preferably something that can be found relatively common in shops and is liquid (not syrup like) or could be diluted. No more than 3 day curing time (does have to be the fully finished curing time) and something environmentally friendly would be an added bonus.

Epoxy is commonly used for composites. It will thin with heat, but it is flammable before it is cured, so don't stick it on the stove. (Put your container into a bath of hot water).

It can also be thinned with the proper solvent. Ask at a marine supply, automotive supply, or a hardware store.
