Of late I have noticed that labels are very difficult to remove from my glass jam jars. I keep them for the small amount of preserving and bottling I do this time of the year.

Lighter fluid. It gets rid of anything!!! Gum, glue, tape residue.

You can also buy a product called "Goo Gone" from any hardware store. it will dissolve sticky stuff too.
