sniffing glue dangers

Help with the dangers of sniffing nail varnish and glue plz....?

I have just found a tub with a small amount of what smells like nail varnish or strong glue in the bottom of it and the only reason for it is that it could belong to my son who is a young teenager, does anyone have any info i could use to help me with this when i have a word with him about it, any info, or real life stories etc... would be great help to me to show him it isn't clever.
