Urgent! Cut my leg pretty badly, is there a glue stitch?
I cut it with an accidental slip of a razor blade. I was using the razor blade to do some craft-work. No serious bleeding, just a split in the skin. I want that split closed. Is there any glue stitch I could buy?
I am glad I missed my femoral artery. I was about 1 inch away. Whew.
You can buy skin glue at Walgreens. Make sure you clean it out VERY well and keep an eye on it for infection. You'd probably be better off putting butterflies on it, though. With a part of your body that moves that much, the glue tends to pop open.
I stabbed the back of my ankle with an exacto knife a couple years ago (accidentally of course) and just but a butterfly over it. It was closed within a couple days.
