There are many different types of tapes available each made of different materials and designed for different purposes. Tape is one of the most popular methods for bonding material and although in many cases it is only a temporary method.
Most tape is used to bond a material to another material, overlapping, double-sided adhesive tape differs. This type of tape has a layer of material on which the Both sides are coated with an adhesive and not just one side. Double sided tape has the ability to bind to surfaces and that (on top of another) is something sided tape is not capable of doing. It is also very strong and the glue used is much stronger than that of adhesives such as tape.
The adhesive placed on both sides of the tape must be covered with a material otherwise the band would lose its sticky ... A thin layer of material (usually paper or plastic like) is provided on both side of the strip when the strip is required simply peel the two sides of the adhesive covering to reveal the adhesive itself. This layer of material is specially designed to take off easily and does not undermine the effectiveness of the adhesive. The other part of the tape is available in several different colors but once peeled the tape is always white, because of its partiality and double nature in which it is used the band will not be visible if the color is not a problem.
