How do you open a bottle of Elmer's wood glue?
I know this seems like such a dumb question. I have no clue on fixing things. My mom gave me my old rocking chair for my son to have. It's a little wobbly and i know it can be fixed with wood glue. i bought some but can't figure out how to open the d*** bottle! I don't know if i'm just an airhead or if I have a defective bottle. (prolly airhead) Has anyone used this kind before?
Usually just turn the tip counter-clockwise about one full turn. It is a dispenser tip, don't turn it too far, or else it will come off. Turn the bottle upside-down, and squeeze it. If nothing comes out, take the dispenser tip off, and see if there is dried glue in there. If there is, clear it. I am guessing that you live in UK? If the above advice does not work, try taking the entire top off of the bottle; is there a foil seal on the top of the bottle? In the US, there is no such seal, but IDK about exported glue.
